    Ogden Valley goes OFF!!

Well, it was almost as deep as yesterday, some bottom on Grizz downhill where it bumped out yesterday, but many deep, deep shots were had off of John Paul early. I love laughing uncontrollably (without the aid of hallucinogenics) while pilfering the fall line.

The "Oh my Heck" (P/C Utah term) moment of the day... Scoping a landing that Flykdog was looking at when MD9 appears in mid-air off the adjacent 15 footer, as I was in the LZ sitting there like a Dumass (thats Mr. Dumass).

Looking up at John Paul face, brilliant blue backdrop, globs of creamy pow hanging of every outcropping of the cliffband (I'm still sportin' wood from my run down), and here it comes...I'm sixty feet down from the cliffband, waving off flyk since he'll need more of a run to clear the rocks than what he had and PA-FOOOOOF, in a blasting cloud of white fluff, at the same angle the jet airstreams are hanging against the sky, comes Jared. Grey pants, rust jacket, Sallie yellow base tips, and a smoke trail of blazing white POW succumbing to gravity even as he denies it for the moment.

"I am not worthy, and I'm dead too if I move"...What a freaking JONG sitting in the LZ! But, managed to escape being squashed like a bug...I just sat there pooping my pants for a second while taking in the sweet scene. Think I need to go back to PowMow and hang with the old-farts!

Seriously sick day and so good to meet up with GT again and hit it with flyk, Foggy, MD9, and CurryPow. Anytime!!!!!!! Always great meeting more of the collective!!! Most all are way too cool. Well, except that obnoxious Frizzo character when he drinks too much cheap Wyoming keg beer.

I'm scoping whats left at PowMow in the early AM before work. Should be lotso lines left!!!

GT was filming again today so thar might be sum pics up latah'!

    Thumbs up mmm... basin

Yea, it was pretty dang nice up there today... got fresh tracks all day, and found some nice untracked open faces at 3pm...

Looks like they may open some of the lines tomorrow... they only had mt.ogden bowl open, and that was great, but NoName looks amazing right now.

Saw Meats and someone else... can't remember who... the guy with the spatulas.

Also saw MD9's bombhole off of JP... looked nice.

Sorry I keep missing everyone up there... I'll be around for a while yet...

    sick, sick, sick...

by far the deepest snow i've ever skied, first two runs i stayed in the white room for what seemed like an eternity. could'nt breath, i just choked and coughed and had to stop for air. I'll be talking about this day until i'm old. turns were not even an option.
Frizzo, it was partly sunny sometimes, puking snow others.

    Cool

It was beyond real description. The pow was sooo deep and sooo lite that every run was face shots. As Kevin said, the steep runs you couldn't see, and you'd have to stop finally to spit out snow, so you could breath. Many more lines tomorrow are still available. Sorry IskiBC left for home.

Over all is was way more fun than is legal.

We've taken lots of vid and will have some posted in a few days. But for now we must keep skiing.

Dang right it does!! I was able to make turns on Mt. Ogdens western slope, down low, by the shore line trail. Yep, enough snow to make turns at the trail head, that is only five minutes from my house. Yep, Utah sux!

[Whisper/] If the whites stuff continues, Mallens Peak will be skied [/Whisper]
