Alberta Topo Maps

Apologies for the random question, but I'm kinda in a bind. I need the 83c 1:250,000 topo map or 1:50,000 series that covers the 83c area (Jasper National park area in Alberta). And I need it by the 31st. It seems that no one can get me this map in time since I'm currentlly in Buffalo. Does anyone have the cd with this map on it? Or know where I could get a hard/digital copy in time? I would gladly pay store the map price for an email with the digital version of this thing, and then they could send the real version whenever. I'm not trying to break copywright laws, eventually I have to buy all the 1:50,000 maps anyway, I just need that damn map for a grant proposal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try these guys . I'm pretty sure they have all of the parks in digital form. I'm not sure if they make them available digitally or not but they're pretty good to deal with and might take pity. From my point of view it would be easier if you named the map or a prominent lake/mountain/river/valley on the map so I had a clue where it was. The numbers don't mean much to me. these other guys should have all of the hard copies in stock but I'm not sure about them getting it to you. The handy thing is they'll be open today and tomorrow (sat sun) so you can get the ball rolling now and get rush courier to go out early monday. Good luck

Softmap Publishing has digital versions but I think you have to buy all of BC or Alberta.

Clover Point Cartographersprovides forest service cover maps for BC with topo lines down to 1:20,000. Their coverage includes 83C. They do print to order so you have the latest data. They might be able to e-mail you the data file or can courier the printed maps to wherever.

It's the in the Banff national forest area, next to Jasper, in Alberta. So southwestern Alberta. I believe Maligne lake is covered in that area.

Maligne Lake is in Jasper National Park. At the least your map includes the border between Banff and Japer Parks. At any rate I personally don't have the topos for up that far. I had one I checked but it doesn't go up that far. As I said 'Friends of Banff' open on the weekend and should stock it. On their site go to trail guides and then top maps and it lists several with that 83C.
