seems like common sense to me with all this new snow but,
i wish is still had p-tex lies and duct tape so i could quote the whistler snow report part.

...AVALANCHE WATCH FOR THE OLYMPICS, WASHINGTON CASCADES NEAR
AND WEST OF THE CREST, AND THE MT HOOD AREA..
A strong storm system is expected to move into the Olympics and
Cascades midday Thursday. This system should bring significant
snowfall, or a mixture of rain and snow, to the mountains from
Thursday afternoon until midday Saturday. This should result in
a layer of heavy, dense snow on top of a weak layer of lower-
density snow that accumulated from recent cold storms. A profile
of heavy, dense snow on top of a weak layer is an unstable
profile, and this should greatly increase the likelihood of
avalanche releases by Friday.
The Northwest Avalanche Center is therefore issuing an avalanche
watch with the expectation that the avalanche danger could
become overall HIGH by Friday. Both human-triggered and natural-
releasing avalanches should become likely, especially at
elevations above 4 to 5000 feet.
