Arrow Utah locals! Impromptu Utah ski area preference check.

I know that feelings about any particular ski area change all the time, but I'm curious about how the locals would force rank the 14 Utah ski areas (I'm mostly curious about which will be the top and bottom spots). I did not put Elk Meadows on the list because it has been out of business for at least two seasons and didn't open again this year. We have to take off Nordic Valley since no one in this forum can honestly pick that one anyway. Oops. I see that there can only be 10 choices in a poll. We have to take off two more to even have the poll. I don't believe anyone will argue with taking off Brianhead and Sundance becuase locals already know where those two places would rank in any poll that could be run.

So.....out of the 10 ski areas worthy of a vote, which is your ski area of choice in Utah?

(The poll is set to display who votes so please keep it to local opinion for purposes of this poll)

Utah Locals? What the fuck kind of poll is this. This is discrimination and I think ColdSmoke should be banned on those grounds!

Personally, I would have included Sundance in lieu of The Canyons and/or Brighton.

What? No choice for the terrain between the ski areas?

The best & longest shots are in the backcountry.

    For me:

Snowbasin - Untracked all season in John Paul, The Pope, No Name, FTG, Hell Canyon & Strawberry before the new lifts went in. It's still pretty darn good.
Powmow - Still untracked laps all season.
Alta - Still deepest, still cheapest.
    Snowbird
    Solitude

Hard for me to pay to ski anywhere else.

Brighton rocks. Millicent on a powder day is quiet and full of high-class skiers and riders. I haven't seen hucks of the quantity, consistency and quality in any other resort ever.

The base facilities are passable, the terrain is excellent, the vert is good for Utah, the people are friendly, the tickets / SP are (is) cheap (Shredgar - Brighton 44, Alta 49?), and Wolverine is right on the doorstep. Love this place.

    1. Brighton
    2. Pow Mow
    3. toss up between the Bird and Tude

There's a 0% chance Alta will not win this poll.

I voted Alta, but I got a pass at Snowbasin this winter. The conditions are always good at Alta, except the holidays or vacation time, ugh.

Pow Mow...luv for old school everything. The "soul" is unmeasurable. However the amount of human waste accumulated in the non-working toilets is measurable in metric tons every year.

Snowbasin based on terrain and lack of crowds.
