    Thank You

To all the Utards that skied with me and showed me around. It was good to see the ones I'd met before and good to meet the I hadn't.

I didn't get any wonderful pictures or video, but I did have fresh snow 5 out of 8 days. I also didn't get everywhere I'd hoped, mainly due to a Solitude power outage and some low clouds at Snowbasin... But, with any luck I'll get there in the spring.

Bump for a couple pictures from Snowbasin that kinda sorta turned out. They're of me, schralping some waist deep gnar gnar. The slope was around 45+ degrees and there was a mandatory 50 foot straightline to a mandatory 25 foot cliff (not pictured) at the entrance. I wasn't concerned about myself because I can just outrun the avalanche, but I was pretty worried with that it would all slide and bury the photog.

okay... So I'm lying. But, according to the snow report that was 17" of snow the day before. I'd also like to note that my backpack was full of all my avalanche survival tools (sandwiches, granola bars and Gatorade).

You need to talk to Solitude about getting a generator or two. You happen to know what took out the power?

    no, thank *you*

ok, well you weren't thanking me, but seriously, thanks (to both you and your brother) for the hook up on the rides and having someone to make some turns with and someone to have pizza, nachos, and beer with (aka life force of alta).

One guy I talked to said it was the heavy snow (and a couple of days it WAS pretty heavy) weighing down tree branches onto the power lines. Sounds as reasonable as anything else.

I guess you missed the New Year's Eve blackout - that was pretty spectacular with the electric-blue flashes of transformers exploding lighting up the night.

It was good making turns with you, Crash. And also, I'm glad you finally decided to stop copying all my choices in gear and clothing. Yeesh.

    Thumbs up

It was good to meet you too and make a turn with you before I lost the squad/posse/crowd of internet skiing freaks/[insert your term here]. My skiing has a bit still to be desired.

Be up in Nashua,NH in early April and will get ahold of yall before.

Looked to me like you were doing fine until you quit. That probably wasn't the best day to be out anyways... When you're out here, let me know. I'm sure I can find something steep and full of trees to throw you down.

Just don't throw me into a tree like I attempted and succeeded up there. I still got a beef with one of Fred's Trees, I know I scared it up pretty good, had lots of bark on my boot and my coat still smells of fresh pine.

Will post when I know more on heading that way.

(if I bring the board and we go somewhere with not a ton of traverses like Alta, I can keep up with you, FYI)

Hey, flydog, I told a hot skier chick friend of Moles' to ask around for you at Snowbasin patrol. Do the rest of the guys know your board name? All I could tell her was to ask for flykdog if she wanted the tour.

This could be funny. Just ask for the red headed step child on patrol. That is what I do.

Glad I got to make some turns with you and your bro, crash.

You guys got an open invite to crash (heh) anytime you decide to return.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Btw Splat, I think I forgot to introduce myself to you on Sunday at Alta. I talked to you about the new Bros outside of the GMD and then later you walked by our table made some comment about me eating a whole lot of pizza...

I'm always up for hot skier chicks! And, umm, no the other guys don't know my board name. I'll be busy deleting posts if anyone needs me.

Crash pretty much summed it up, but I'd like to add my thanks too. I had a blast skiing and it was great to see some of the maggots that I had met and meet a few new ones too. There is a good possibility that we may be rolling through again in the spring and we will probably have to hook up and make a few turns again.

shmerham, did any of your pict's turn out? The few we took pretty much sucked.
