    Leaky boot fixes?

I think my boots leak at the overlap near the toes (Tecnica Diablo 130, if it matters), since my liners always come out of the shells wet after a day of skiing. I don't think my feet sweat THAT much.

I was thinking of trying to seal the boot from inside, like with some sort of stretchy waterproof tape. Any ideas?

Basically I need duct tape that stretches a bit, to allow the overlap to separate so I can stuff my foot in the boot.

a bead of silicon glue on the overlap under the 2 toe buckles or weather stripping works too.
duct tape on the toes, but install it with the shell open so it won't rip when you put the boot on

Excellent idea -- I'll run a thin bead of silicon along the overlap, and let it cure with the shell propped open. That'll work as a seal and won't affect being able to open the boot.

    Thanks mntlion!

I will now use it in a sentence. I skied a gnarly line and thourougly thirdeded my pants.

While the silicon thing sounds like it would have the best results, I had the same problems with my boots. Slapped a piece of duct tape over the shell and it works fine. Still on the same two peices after 25 days, plus it's been adding a little to my toe warmth.
