Maybe global warming isn't a conspiracy after all??

The whole fucking country is warm.

look at the current snow cover
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

VERY IMPRESSIVE DYNAMICSWITH SYSTEM...AND WILL MAINTAIN CATEGORICAL POPS ACCORDINGLY ALLAREAS. AS SFC/UPPER LOWS CONTINUE TO WRAP UP EAST OF FA SATNIGHT/SUNDAY...IMPRESSIVE DEFORMATION/COMMA HEAD FEATURE TOPOTENTIALLY EVOLVE ACROSS AREA. BNDRY/MID LVL TEMPS AT DURINGTHESE PERIODS PLENTY COLD ENOUGH FOR ALL SNOW...AND WITH

That's standard NWS forecast speak. Important things to note are:

    1) Explosive cyclogenesis - No Phil Collins here, just a big storm getting going

    2) Changeover from rain to snow from West to East. Likely hitting the spine of the Greens early Sat evening

    3) Deformation/comma head - An area of intense precipitation that wraps around a low. Jay, Smuggs, and Stowe usually do well out of such scenarios

    4) Windy - Any lift that's normally susceptible to wind events (e.g. the tram at Jay, quad at Stowe, Heaven's Gate/Bravo at SB, Madonna 1 at Smuggs) will likely be out of commission for part or all of Sunday. Monday could be the day

So why not just say it's going to rain Saturday and possibly change over to snow Saturday night with a shitload of wind on Sunday. Explosive Cyclogenisis my ass.

And then they're talking 40s and rain midweek.

You'd have to ask them. It's not their job to make it easier for you to read, it's their job to forecast. And it's not a "possible" changeover, it's going to happen. Only question is how much they get. Regardless, this pattern sucks ass and I have no illussions of a return to cold and snowy glory beyond this weekend storm. Kill me now.

You guys all just need a good dose of "Hot Dog." After watching this quality film, you'll have a good time practicing your "twist-to-spread-eagle" moves all day long, regardless of weather conditions.

Seriously, though, I've been pretty impressed with conditions at Stowe thus far. We had one bad day after the black-out, but, besides that, the woods have been in surprisingly good condition.

Dude- you should totally do it on the stream gap sickter section of the Stowe High-T.

Bill can go in front of you and push all the NYC Gapers off the trail, and I'll follow with the helmet cam.

If the conditions are anything like they were two weeks ago, we should totally have the cam out for EVERY turn.

    CAM! CAM! CAW!

I get to repeat my sickter streambed to streambottom to wet, lame hike to the company garage... only this time on hell-met cam.

yeah- I have to mount up my w105's tonight for sure. If I can't find any bindings to use, I'll probably just tie them onto my boots using some bailing wire- THAT's how good its going to be.

Biggins- whatever you do, ignore any sign of a traverse (no matter how blatant) and go for the goods. Works everytime.

Lord Mountaineer...we bow at thy wet feet.
Plus, easy traverses out are for pussies. Now, slogging through streambeds for over an hour ...that's where the rubber meets the road.

I resent this comment, even though I am only a NY Gaper (notice the lack of C)....

If Cant is skiing Axoims, maybe I should come up... I'll bring my blowed up Gotamas, crank my din to 14, and ski Smuggs. Then we can meet behind the bullwheel and have a pointlessly big ski party. I'll bring a ruler and everything with me in my backpack.

Clowney'll be there. But the mountaineer doesn't leave the Mansfield valley.

I am definitely game for O-Kemo, OK.

    And I will definitely film.

And will hopefully be able to track down a few pairs of sweet blades for my own self.
