    Where did you ski?
Thurs-Stratton 3"-4" fresh light snow all day
Fri-Bromley 3"-4" fresh from Thursday with light snow all friday
Sat-Bromley.....The snow was in pretty nice shape....in the AM.....
Huge improvement over the boiler plate of last weekend. Granted, no real storms...but the skiing has been OK.

Seconded for the AM Sat at Bromley. Pretty good snow considering all the rain last week. Shen, you up in SoVT often?

Has been OK, but I second the motion a storm or three is seriously needed....and not one of these crappy Southern NE Mass/CT storms....what f#ckin waste of snow...

Kmart rocked Saturday. Lap after lap on Devils Fiddle and Needles Eye Liftline. Top of the boot deep from all the nightly dustings and the 5" they got Thursday. Not enough snow on the Fiddle to huck the cliff. I did some probing with my head and found plenty of rocks.

Skiing was better than expected on saturday at Stowe.

Plus it snowed an inch or two yesterday in the upper valley, and another inch or so this morning.

JetBlue baby. You can find flights for $99 to Denver and sometimes SLC (one-way).

attitash was good ol' ec hard pack, got totally lost and buddeh and I ended up in the park somehow. he decided to hit one of the booters, really bad decision, just watched him take off and slap down nice and hard on the "packed powder" LZ. we had to go get a beer so he could try and decompress his spine after that. really hoping the Bush will get some snow this week cuz I'm takin a posse up there this weekend.

anybody still get the Roemer report?

quick gripe: what the hell sense does it make to groom only 1/2 of a trail? granted I'd rather not have them groom at all...anyways...I was comin in hot since what else is there to do on groomers than haull ass? anyways, came in hot over this knoll and realized they had only groomed 1/2 the trail, couldn't catch an edge so I went right into a shin-high snow wall which banana'd the shit out of my ski and sent me flying. definitely thought I was in for a world of hurt as I flew end over end but it ended up being the nicest snow on the mountain. which was good. only have one good Volkl G3 left, which sucks for my first day on the slopes...but at least I didn't ruin my spine.
    thats new hampshire as fuck

Bullshit. You were just in the wrong place. Stowe was 12-14" of fluff over a bulletproof crust locking all the nasties down. SB/MRG was about 5-7" of same over a slightly thinner base, but still pretty good and untouched.

If it's not happening in soVT or K-Mart, then you're too far south.

There was about 4 inches of new at Flatton on Saturday. Not bad and some of the glades were in decent shape. Shredwood Forest was nice and Diamond in the Rough were nice. Freefall still had a shitload of underbrush. You can certainly tell that 64inches of snowfall to date is all they have.

Wildcat wasn't bad at all. It got a little icy by the end of the day, but the woods was nice and soft all day. I think they got like 6 or 7 inches thursday night. I did one of the little out of bounds trails. Pretty decent but still needs likeTwo more storms and some of the thompson brook area should be prime. O and i heard one of the brook trails isn't fully frozen either, but that should change by next weekend. Its suppsoed to be cold this week right?

Dude, that's just because you rock so fucking hard. Totally core--8-10 foot drops? Be careful out there, brother.

Heard you've even skied with the Epicski crowd--now we know you're good.

I would like some fresh too. But seriously, I am amazing myself with feats of speed (there are no ski trails after 2pm...these are LUGE runs...boo-ya!!) and it's kind of a head rush to pick a line on a frozen crap run dotted with people and rocks sticking out.

The other day I skiied clear to the bottom of a run making maybe 3 turns in response to abject fear...and my heart was pounding like I just outran a cop car. This was a blue run, total boilerplate and frozen irregularly spaced patches and about 200 other crazy-ass people on it also skidding hopelessly in search of something to turn on (it wasn't there). WOO HOO!!!

But we'll get our powder. Keep the faith.

Also, there really is some nice stuff...even on some of the populated runs. Vertigo this Saturday for example...just stellar, tremendously bumped, and probably all you guys would have enjoyed ripping that soft beauty all day.

I have to call bullshit here.

I skied Pico this weekend and found the conditions to be OK at best and find it very difficult to believe Kmark had untracked powder all weekend long. Every Joey in jeans goes to Kmart and Pico was almost empty but then again I don't hit the HUGE cliffs of Killington like some.....
why make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!

Run an ultra-high DIN like Highway Stooge and you'll be able to do it.
