    TR CH - Saas-Fee: Jan.2006

Saas Fee, Haute Valais. Skied Jan 5 & 6.

    4 views from Mid-Station:

Every ski station has a unique take on the skull & crossbones.

A glacier rests above the cliff face and what looks like some great lines below the cliff...
But look closer, and notice the cracks, crevasses, and blocks lurking.

View continues to the right. Rocky old Saas-Fee.

    View of Egginer (3367m). A climber's heaven? I don't, so I would not know.
At the base in the shadows is suppose to be the 1/2 pipe. Not enough snow to create.

3 PM view looking across the main glacier towards the Dom (4545m - highest point in CH)

After Friday, Jan 6th there were not many off-piste lines remaining that could be skied safely (i.e. w/o crampons, rope and harness...no thanks.).

So, we left Sat AM w/o skiing.
