Look P14s on 04 Rossi 9S WC plate???

I bought a pair of Rossi 9S WCs, thinking that I could mount any Rossi/Look binding in the pre-drilled plates. I have a brand new pair of Look P14s and an older pair of Rossi Axial 140 Races, and neither of the bindings heal plates match the holes in the skis plates. WTF? Is there a fix, or do I need the Rossi race binders?

I could be wrong here but there is either a different plate you can buy or you will need to use the FKS bindings.

I hope its just a plate I can get... Its really only two holes that are just barely inboard that are a problem... Thanks for the reply.

    Anyone else??

I believe the FKS/ turntable (old style or "race" binding) heelpiece has the same hole pattern as the PX/ Axial2 bindings (the ones that replaced the Pivot/Axial line). So you might try a PX or Axial2 binding.

PX and axial2 DO not have the same hole pattern as the race bindings
you probably need the FKS or P-xx binding for that plate...or a really steady drill hand when using a jig...

Ooops. Brain fart. Waxman's right. The PX/ Axial2 have the same hole pattern as the Look Nova/ Rossi ???? (forgot the name) line.

I think the toe pieces have the same holes - I've got some FKS 155 and they have the same toe pattern as FKx Pro, Axial 140, so Look/Rossi seems nice and consistent there.

    The heelpiece is definitely different.

I think there is a plate you may be able to get since the junior skis don't need race stock bindings.

I've got a rossignol race catalog from 2004 and they have a product:

RK Racing Composite Plate part number P5780
Composite replica of RK World Cup Plate. Softer flex, less aggressive/younger athletes. 2 settings: Slalom and Giant Slalom Accepts Axial and Race Stock bindings

    Maybe that helps ?

    Thanks for all the replies.

I just logged on because I realized that Im idiot. TJB, you may be on to something.

When I was talking about the pre-drilled plates, I guess I was talking in general about the entire plate on the ski--it didnt click that there is a smaller plate screwed into the platform on the ski that is replaceable (JONG).

Sooooooooo, TJB, is there a plate in that catalog that a.) has pre-drilled holes that will fit a standard Look/Rossi binding or b.) that doesnt have any pre-drilled holes that I can take to my local shop to get drilled?? (are you trying to say that Im soft by saying that I should get a kiddie plate? )

Or for that matter, can I find or machine a piece of alu and drill it??

    EDIT:
Actually, I may have just found that catalog online. The photo shows the entire platform. I wonder if I buy the entire platform, I can just steal the metal heel piece plate and put it on my World Cup plate and mount an Axial binding on it????

If so, where do I get the P5780???

Natedogg, I've reached the limit of my knowledge here. I'll have to defer to someone more wise before I speak from my posterior.

If you can find some FKS 155/P15 they are sweet bindings. That is the other option.

And you don't have to worry about the "bendy" as the P18 brake modifiers call it.
