tele setup for pow and packed-pow recommendations?

I ski mostly in VT, but usually make it out west a couple weeks/year to hit the deep stuff. I want some fairly wide skis for teleing that can handle some pretty deep snow but can also carve up eastern snow when it's not too bulletproof (I ski alpine on the boilerplate). Also do some backcountry out west and what there is around here. I weight 195lbs and am 6'2".

I was thinking that mounting some Rottefeller R-8's on volkl mantras would fit the bill pretty nicely. Or maybe the T-rocks.

Any recommendations/advice?
