Finally, a dawn patrol where I can see the dawn

Met up with DTM early this morning. I don't know why I did this to myself, considering I met up with Telephil yesterday morning at the same damn time. But with today promising to dawn clear and crisp I just had to do it. The last 3 early morning jaunts all provided breathtaking views of clouds and low vis. Even though I'm tired as hell now, it was absolutely worth it. DTM and I were like the 4th and 5th people into Toledo Chute and the snow, oh baby, the snow was freaking money. Not deep, but fast and fun.

Oh, and right after taking pics of DTM going down Toledo, WPG bombed Cardiac bowl and apparently it went big. I was like 20 feet below the ridge and saw nothing, but the guys on it said it was huge. Just an fyi for ya.

Enough talk, here are some pictures.

    DTM, top of Flagstaff.

    The sun arising.

Some folks over on Toledo, waiting for the sunshine.

At long last, sunshine and Superior.

    DTM, waiting patiently.

Then enjoying the bounty going down into days.

    Then, on to Toledo.

Random guy dropping in as we showed up.

    Finally, DTM schralping.

Super fun morning. Nothing like finding conditions even better than expected.

I can't believe how many people were up there that early, though it is kinda cool to look down on the way up and just see a bunch of headlamps coming up the skintrack.

Comish, yeah, I'm sorta starting to figure it out, barely. It's fun though.

very nice work and great photos. I miss those sunrises.

More and more people are on the Our Lady of the Snows DP crew these days. There are plenty of other lines to be had with little to no traffic. See you in the skintrack one of these days.

I was somewhere in that line of lamps this morning. Nice Pics CS, I need to remind myself to take pictures. I get so invlolved with climbing and jamming to the ipod I forget to capture some kodak moments.
