Couple of Pics from Squaw (Wed)

Squaw was pretty great today, and Alka was right about GC being absolute $$$

here are a couple of pics that show how good the snow quality was (my camera battery died at the top of GC, so sorry, no close-up's of the huck / straightline fest

I didn't have the urge to take too many pictures with conditions THIS good

the Slot was really buffed out and Headwall, in general, was really nice early

    nice tracks

GC was pure goodness (cropped picture)

long distance shot of Granite Chief

scoped the landing then went back and hit these.....so soft

    Shirley Chutes

Mainline Pocket wasn't open yet....damn it

Dwanis helmet cam/comments was right on about KT-22 yesterday.....pretty sweet top to bottom fluff

today wasn't bad, either, though but it was tracked out quickly

I love the sweeping line over the Fingers and the lighting in this

    Fingers went mostly untouched

GS Bowl was nice and chalky, but got tracked out fast like usual (photo taken around 2pm)

    Eagles Nest looking nice

view from KT back towards Alpine....I think I saw Huckasoreass setting up a camera to snap this, too

I was with my relatives visiting from out of town so I was always behind the camera (that's why it's titled pictures and not TR)

I was too busy enjoying it to worry about taking lots of action shots

anybody else out there the last two days can add their pics if they want

    SUPER STOKE! Sweet pics!

...Eagles Nest looked hot! But I wonder if it had an ice layer underneath, since alot of the steep pitches at Kirkwood were pretty damn firm underneath.

I love the transformation from January 1 blue ice death to bomber snowpack.

The top of the wall (pretty steep I guess) was really nice yesterday. No ice, just perfect carveable chalk.

First pic is my new background. It also shows the chute where I tore my ACL last year so I can curse it silently all day.
