I just got a pair of head mad trix, 172 cm and mounted them in the big mountain mode. I really liked how they skied. I lent them to a friend who lost them, and now is replacing them with a pair of 175 troublemakers becasue he has a hook up with dynastar. Has anyone skied the 2 skis and can compare them, and are troublemakers marked to be center mounted? im thinking if they are id mount them 2 cm back to ski more like my mad trix. Does this make sense?
Thanks a lot

I got the TM and i put them center mount. First time i have ever done this with a ski. I love them. I like them being in the center. If you are going to use them for park and groomers then i would tell you to center mount them.
I've skied both. TM's have less sidecut, so they'll never rail turns as hard as the MT. I think TMs are softer too.
Rather than try to get your TMs (a fantastic park ski) to ski more like the MTs (an OK park ski and a great all-mtn ski) why not just sell the TMs and buy MTs? Some shops still have 03 MTs on sale.
Otherwise, a shop might even swap a TM for an 04 MT.
As for mounting position, I don't think mounting the TM back is going to be enough to make them similar to the MT.
The lost mad trix were finally located, so no more trouble makers. But they were left outside in the rain for a few days and possibly through some freezing and thawing with the bindings filled with water. I didint have any core shots in the ski so im not to worried, but is there anything i should look for in terms of warping or binding damage if there is no obvious huge rust after this?
