I'm not sure, I just got it as an e-mail and thought they were cool, and it does seem to me there was some speculation on the boat one, but cool all the same.

Dig the funky hat on Fuji?, that's an interesting one.

Cool pic irlk2ski, you in the phot, or photog?
Skiing, where my mind is even if my body isn't.

I think that was floating around as being from a hurricane in the Atlantic this year but I saw that picture like 2 years ago and it was touted as being from a typhoon in the Pacific. I think it's a real picture but just not from this year.

"The Big Tit" is quite photogenic. Nice alpinism stoke picture!

According to our photo dept. the storm is a cyclone off of Austalia and is REAL! However, it is not from last year, but from 2001.

I think the Volcano w/the cloud "hat" is in Kamchatka, not Mt. Fuji. Notice the lack of dwellings on the shoreline. Japan is CROWDED.

And the surfing pic is of a dolphin (porpoise), not a shark, BTW. Look at the fin. (It used to be my Avatar.)

My favorite non-ski, non-surf pic that I took this past year is this....

Taken on the Sunday morning before Labor day at just below the summit of Dick's peak in Desolation wilderness. Had been sleeping on top of Dicks peak when lightning started down in the central valley so we decided to pack up and move on.
