    Sharpen your edges for Plattekill

Well, Right now I was hoping to be skiing, but it's 45 degrees and pissing rain in the catskills. So I'm doing the next best thing- watching Better Off Dead and drinking.

The temps are supposed to drop tonight, and a little snow is predicted to fall. However I'd reccomend those coming to the Plattekill mini to bring skis with edges sharp enough to shave with.

ahh my resilient, strong-willed friend, I feared this might happen.

This being the case, I'm reluctant to make such a long drive to spend my limited time and money.

I'm not happy about it, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.

Hope to catch you in UT, and many thanks for the hospitable offer to make this happen.

Belleayre might be in better shape. I skied it on Sunday. It was a little icy so Me and a few people poached the closed runs. Even skied in about 2 feet of powder on the top of Seneca under the guns. Seems like they were hoarding the good stuff for this weekend.

Edges are what you sharpen in preparation for Utah's February/March snow drought, when all that formerly dry powder turns to porcelain.

Well, sounds like Pinner's already out...but the Pin man should not give up on the EC dream so easily. Maybe it'll be warm and springy, maybe it'll dump and we'll be drowning in it (right).
Or maybe it'll be a total sheet of ice when temps drop and all this rain freezes. But I might be up for something like that.

Wondering, though, as I walked around uptown today--will there be any snow left at Plattekill? It's raining pretty damn hard here in the City.

I'm whimping out for this weekend. With the condition my edges are in skiing would be suicide right now. I think I'll use this breather to get a very good tune. And bargain w/ God for some snow to come in next week.
