    Binding remount

I know it sounds stupid. Im gonna switch a pair of bindings from one ski to another and Im wondering when I do it is there anything I should ask them to do when they remount. Im talking about stuff like using new screws or anything like that. Im just asking cause I dont know how bindings are mounted and if there is a chance of the screws getting stripped or something like that. Any help is appreciated.

Sure, and while you are at it why not give the ski techs your work address so they can stop by and tell you how to do your job.

if you trust the shop enough to do the mount you should trust them enough to do it right.

ask them to use JB weld on the screw threads, otherwise the screws will probably rip out

actually i dont trust them 100% with my stuff but they have done good work so far. its kinda the fact that i busted my ass trying to get this pair of skis and barely found exrta money to pay for them and dont really want them to be fucked up because the screws were already used once and have them fuck the ski up to the point where theyre no good.

screws used multiple times is no big deal and most shops will reuse them. if a screw is damaged then a shop should replace it. but if a shop really would try to reuse a damaged screw then a) i dont think asking them not to will make a difference and b) i really wouldnt want them mounting my skis with new screws either

the thing they are most likely to fuck up is not the process of the mount but the location of the mount. it is much easier for the shop to get a binding mounted off center or crooked or not in the same spot on each ski or not where you wanted the binding mounted on the ski.

maybe drop your skis off with a sixer of good beer and a note that says 'measure twice, drill once'?

Thanks for all the help. My main concern was possible bad screws, but since the bindings in questin are pretty new with minor damage the screws should be fine. My shop is good at mounting correctly so no concern there.
