road trip this week: where to?

ok, so i have one last week of freedom before going back to work for "the man". am in tahoe now, and tmrw. will be deep. forecast puts a high pressure back in place for rest of the week, so no new snow after tonight/tmrw morning. I can stay in Tahoe and ski Wed, as they will open some hikes that day at Alpine I would imagine.

I can rally down to Mammoth tmrw. night and hit that up Wed and Thur....

looks like UT gets the same high pressure after tmrw through the rest of the week and into thr weekend (Red Barron?).....

forecast shows snow showers in Jackson through most of the week, but nothing major.....

looks like Whistler to get snow all week? but snow levels rising by end of week?

someone look in their forecast crystal ball and point me in the direction of some fresh snow for Wed - Sat.....

so, what should i do? i got a car (can drive to UT/WY and Mammy) and air miles (fly from Reno to Vancouver? somewhere else where its snowing?)

Have you skied Mammoth before? If not, definitely go there - no question. Hellofa drive right now. Doubt the 395 is open all the way through. You might get lucky and make it down there in time for a Wednesday opening of the top.

Mammoth will be the call if they don't open everything tmrw AND 395 gets cleared out. I would rally tmrw late afternoon and hopefully roll into town in time for a beer and then slay it Wed and Thur....all depends on what they get open tmrw....but then again, JH is always a blast...but would have to deal with lodging and a 12 hour drive if i do that vs 3 hours from Tahoe to Mammy and a free place to stay there....decisions decisions...
