I thought I was avoiding it, but apparently I caught Craig's cold too. I'm bummed.

Other than Grizzle and Skiguide I havent actually met any other mags in person. I would like to put faces to the names that I waste my days with. Is it a party foul to show up at Woodsy's send off, not having actually met him, although I have laughed at his wit and admired his pinkess.
Can I get a ruling here?

I hope the party's a great send off for the Woodsman. How long did it take to find a venue that was all ground floor, or are you just posting armed guards between Matt and the balcony?

Ok with invitation like that I am so there! Buzz, I'll be in a yellow Wyoming Hoodie, so if you see me wondering around lost, please gather me in.
Looking forward to meeting the mags.

Cool, that means he is having a good time. If those Bros are the demos from Twoplanker, they took me for a ride. They go thru anything.

I told her those two ( kate and monique) would not be there.

great nice, thanks to all who came, esecially the out of town visitors.
never underestimate Monique or Buster's sneakiness......

and thank=s even more to the great crew, some borrowed from the Squad and stuff, that led to Alta on Sat.
    windy, no new snow, awesome.
rode only Collins and skiied some gret shots, from 3rds in the Am with stum and crew to the final sketchy super high eddies with the mixed nut grouping.
    great day great people.

    Thanks.

Sorry I couldn't make the party, but I'm glad I got to ski with you saturday. I get the feeling from hanging out with you and the rest of the Utarded crew that Utah won't be the same.

Now could you get to NYC already?! I'm walkin' here!

Actually the whole phone call thing was a little uncanny from my point of view. My flight landed a couple of hours before the party and I was planning to arrive at Woodsy's condo with Natty/Buster, but they were still up in the canyon so I grabbed a bite at the restaurant in the same building as the condo. My phone rang, I checked the display, and it was Woodsy. My first impulse was to look around guiltily, like he was there in the restaurant somewhere and I'd been caught. My second and most comical impulse was that I should somehow mute the background noise, as if he would be able to tell by the restaurant sounds that I was in Utah. Go figure. Anyway, slowly my brain caught up to the fact that his call was coincidental, and when he gave me shit about not making the party I made some noises about client responsibilities (without actually lying) and then the call dropped. About 15 minutes later I buzzed into his condo claiming "a delivery for Matt D." When he opened the door I said something about how much it pissed me off when he didn't call back after a dropped call and I had to track him down. My only regret is not getting footage of all the expressions that crossed Woodsy's face in that first 15 seconds.

It was great to meet so many Utards and to hang at Alta for a couple of days, getting a mini tour of some "classic" Alta lines such as High Eddie's Lonely Ol' Nowhere Man Hole in the Lone Pine Wall of Wind Scoured Rock That Doesn't Scare Ten Year Olds (or something like that). Next time I plan to ARRIVE--not leave--on a pow day.

Matt--so glad I could be there for your sending off. Ron--where are your pics?
