TR: K2 Work Stinx w/Freerides and Denalis
Skiied my new skis today...Decided to get a dedicated b/c ski since that's all really do around here. My Denali's have been "Hammered" (boot tech friend called Hammer) so they are much stiffer than stock with Nordica liner and tounge nailed over the Scarpa tounge.
Overall I liked these skis for what they're for...backcountry harvesting. Much, much, much softer than anything I've skied in the past 5 years. They make my Gotamas seem stiff. This took some getting used to as I bounced instead of carved at first. We were skiing about 12" of new blower so they really boogied. They don't like to go too fast, me thinks, but they're SUPER light.
Overall, they hike like Crossover on roids and ski like CUMERRIT at a Panic show.
