    Giro Tuneups

So I decided to retire my Giro nine.9

went to a shop I don't normally shop at and tried on a G10

Wow, fit is better then the nine.9 so I ask the guy helping me if my old nine.9 tuneups will work, he says no problem I'm skeptical at best since they earflaps look nothing like my old helmet, but the fit is so much better that I buy the helmet anyway. Get it home and sure enough the 9 tuneups won't fit the G10, call shop back get different guy and ask if they have any tuneups that'll fit the G10. He tells me that all they have is tuneups that say Fuse on them but the Fuse and G10 share the same earpieces so they'll work.

before I go in there and drop another $59 on tuneups that won't fit does anyone out there know if the G10 and the Fuse have the same earpieces?

I know the Fuse and Nine.9 tuneups are different, and not compatible with each other. Why not bring the helmet back to the shop, try to fit the Fuse tuneups on the G10, and buy them only if they fit?

(All I have to offer on this...)

Funny you would ask, as I just spent the better part of an hour getting a pair of tune ups to fit in my flint SC. I figure that they will fit in any helmet with a bit of modification.

What I did was cut off the outside foam liner and then put some industrial strength velcro on the back and velcroed it into the part underneath the foam. It works great! PM me for more detail.

I just wear earbuds under my G10 MX until the Tuneups showup in the mail. Works fine, and its free... Paying retail for Tuneups isn't worth it, IMO.

dont know if you went in already but they arent the same. they sell the tuneups seperately for each helmet (fuse,g10,nine) because they dont carry over from one to the other.

figured out the cheap maggot solution to the problem

cut the tuneups out of the Nine earpieces, cut seam on the G10 earpiece, install headphones into G10's and sew the earpieces back up

    works great

Yeah, who the hell is paying $60 for tuneups? I just bought some for my Nine at REI for $29.00.

The 59.99 is for the Tune up II, they have a built in jack for a cell phone. Like a cell phone is important in a helmet when you are skiing.
