Nominees for Deal of the Year

Okay - So during 2005 who scored the best deal, most bang for the buck/sought after item whatever, post em up.

My nomination though = pde20s $179 brand new BDs here right at the end.

    Free Naxos

Back in May I bought some new Fischer Big Stix 750s with Naxos (the old ones) also new, $200 hundred for both. I called up BCA who sent me the new toe pieces at no charge-huge props to them! Later in the month REI had a crazy 50% off the last marked price and they had some Voile hardwries already marked down 50% so I got those for $35. Took the Naxos off, mounted the hardwires and sold them at the swap. I essentially got new Naxos for -$15. Too much wheeling and dealing to be considered deal of the year but it's still cool to score free stuff.

At the same REI sale, my girlfriend bought new Scarpa T2s for $115, Hardwires for $35, and K2 Instinx for $110. I'm nominating her.

I got my brand new Atomic Metrons for around $216 on Steep and Cheap, then mounted them with $60 Atomic binders that work fine on the plate.
My very decent on area set up for less than $300 is a good deal.

My other nomination: everything I was going to buy at Backcountry.com for regular price, but instead got way cheaper via the magg hook up, the outlet, or the Steep and Cheap. Them dudes got my money this year.

Yes straight off mec. Your score seems quite excellent, a light fat touring set up. Nice

$179 Big Daddies happened again yesterday at some point to another lucky someone:

I don't know what evogear's story is, but keep your eye on ebay maybe another one will pop up.

single Atomic Metron 9 on Ebay for 7.50 (25.00 shipping from Canada) and called Atomic warrenty and got a mate for free. So a pair of Metrons for $32.50. I did pick up some Flexons for my wife last year for 1.99 + 5.95 shipping for a NIB pair of Comps inc thermoflex liners. Some new Krypton pros' for 202.00 (inc 10% off coupon) was also a killer deal.

But I will bow down to the 300 (can) Goode 95's. Just out of curiocity...how were they "mis-posted"
