A bit of history.
265# dry, add a bunch for gear and stuff
Mojo 15 bindings
Nordica Beast (stiff) boots
Waxed twice night before and tuned to Splats recomendations. (I did not stonegrind them yet, but it didn't seem to slow them down)
Weight of one ski with binding 6.5 # (very light!)
Former skis, AK Enemy
1st day on skis, variable conditions from boot deep pow, crud to ice.
These skis rock! They blast through anything without skipping a beat. They would go through all different types of snow without complaint and I could barely tell I was on different snow. Very damp and stable, never chattered or skipped. Floated very well in any powder I did find and gave me a very confident edge on the Ice I had to deal with.
For the first day out on the skis I could not find a top end, but they were more stable at speed then anything I have tried before.
The recomended mounting point seems to be spot on for opening up huge high speed turns and still spin them around in the trees. I could not do a zipper line with them, but I don't like bumps so I don't care.
The couple of times I did find myself in the back seat the skis did kick me in the ass and told me not to do that. But that is okay, It definatley helped on any back seat landings as the skis kicked me back up no problem.
They are definatley very stiff skis and have what seems to be bottomless energy. My weight is no problem for them and I definetly did choose the right ones. I would not suggest the super stiffs to any light weights unless they are very confident they can handle them.
I did use my helmet cam that day and I thought I would share a small vid for your entertainment. Leeerrroooooy JenkinsThey were just waiting around
All in all, fabulous skis and I can't wait to try them some more.
