    What probe to buy?

I'm looking into buy a probe this season. I have everything else (shovel, beacon, etc.), and figured that stuff isn't as usefull without a probe. I can get BD stuff pretty cheap so I was thinking about getting one of their probes. Anybody have any problems with these probes? I was thinking about gettting the QuickDraw Super Tour 265. I don't think I want the carbon fiber one and the short probe that they have seems kinda worthless. So I guess it is between this and the Guide probe they make. Any input would be very helpful.

I have the Guide Probe 300. It's not the lightest but it's sturdy/reliable, easy to use, and 300 cm. I wouldn't go much shorter than 280.

the BD's work real well in the field IMO, quick asembly, sturdy, easy to break down........but you shouldn't get anything shorter then the 265.....why they even sell probes shorter then 8 feet is beyond me
