    Gotama - size question

I'm debating between the Gotama 176 and 168.... I'm a strong intermediate skier. I ski my mantras (170) as all around ski. 168 seems small? ... I'm 5'6 and 130lbs. Any advice?

The Gotamas ski short. Their running surface is much shorter than the stated measurement due to the huge tail. If you are debating between sizes, I recommend choosing the longer one.

I currently ride the 190 and am so happy I did not go with the 183.

    5'11" / 175#.

you are pretty light, so you might want to go with the shorter, i have a freind who skis the 176 he is 5'10 and 150. although the gotama, is realy soft, atleast in the shorter models. upallnight makes a good point about the huge tail. personaly i would go with the longer of the two, but i like long skis, i was on 201s today

I'm 5'6", 145lbs and ski the 183cm, they do ski short...go for the 176 if they make it.

I love your sig (I'm Croatian).

As for the Gotamas, go with the 176. I've never heard anyone regret going long on this ski. Everyone who has a pair will tell you it skis short.

As everyone else has said, go longer when debating between two sizes. I am 130 lbs 5'10 and ski 183's.

I am 5' 9" 130lbs and I ski 183's and I wish I had 190's. But seriously, the 183 is probally the right choice. They ski short, and they are easy to ski.

Ditto on the bigger ones. I'm 5'8" and love my 183s.

Your friend is a bitch. I'm 5'11" on a good day and ski the 190cm. It's not a noodle ski but it's pretty soft. Sack it up and get ready for the best ride around.
