So I have the 02/03 AK rocket pilots. I am wondering if anyone knows of a problem if I were to just unscrew the bindings from the pilot plates and mount them as normal bindings to another pair of skis. I think they are the same things as just plain old 914 bindings, so it doesn't seem like there would be a problem with this, provided I used the proper screws. Just thought I would check to see if anyone knew.

Just check the screw lengths.
I know that the 914's that came with the 02/03 ak rockets have got a sticker on them proclaiming "For use with Pilot binding systems only".
I have a pair and i compared the screws to my normal bindings and they were identical. Just make sure you can count 3 threads that would reside in the ski when mounted.Semper in Pulveris .... Only the depth varies
