Have you tried running Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware? Those two usually do the job for me when it comes to spyware. Google both up and download. Spybot has its own site with free downloads, and I think I found Ad-Aware on cnet.com or download.com.

... And, I guess, Tech Talk?

    Nah.

Spybot & Ad-Aware are both good. Using Mozilla and not Explorer is also good.

    Free removal tool here:

If the original trojan still persists on your system, you can use this to clean it:

Spybot says that when accessing cccleaner's website, it tries to download Avenue A, Inc., a known threat, to my computer.
Spyware cleaners that implant their own spyware? How novel.

That's no good. If I remember correctly, Likwid is the resident expert in all things spyware related.

    1- Hike up the mountain.

    2- Ski down.

Works well, especially in conjunction with Spy-bot and Ad-aware:

I found that running more than one program is absolutely necessary. Why can't one program find them all? Oh, ditto on the switching to Firefox thing.
