    Thanks, guys!

I wish someone could get me the hell out of the office today as a present! (Guess I get enough days in I don't have much room to complain though...)

I would like to point out that this type of nonspecific weather prediction is now officially authorized!

Obviously, every run over the past 4 days was sweet - but I had one that was seriously THE birthday present, Christmas present... I don't know, but it was a gift, for sure.

We were the 4th car up the canyon after they finally opened the road on Saturday. Second run we cut in to Stonecrusher - I came around the corner and the whole thing in front of me was untracked. I mean - not even bird tracks, or little snowballs that had run down it - just the sun shining through the trees for a moment on absolutely perfect snow in front of me. Not a big open run, but a beautiful line weaving through the trees and rocks that was in perfect rhythm with the pitch and the ridiculously deep snow. The whole thing was just one fluid, effortless experience. Best run ever.

Yeah, but who was waving to you from the liftline when you were still at your truck? Doesn't matter who gets to the parking lot first if you're going to take all day getting dressed...

(And you're damn right I cheated - boots, mittens, goggles - everything on by the time we hit the parking lot. All I had to do was jump out and open the ski rack...)

That sounds like about the best B-day gift you could ever get.
