my buddy just called from LA - said that it was double overhead today at Leo Carillo (spelling?) - the biggest he's seen in 5 years living there.

Funny you should mention that, it looks like your backyard Tuffy. Venice pier and SM to the north.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

yeah, i can make that out. i mean where is it going to, not where is it coming from. ....by the way, check out that right from the breakwater to the pier, looks doable, right?

went out to topanga this morning. tried paddling out right to the peak from the north end of the beach during what felt like a 20 wave set. got washed all the way down the point. finally got out, grabbed a few fun waves before i had to head into work.

the (south/north) bay should be workable tomorrow morning.

Just got back from 5 days at the Ranch. Razorblades and Drakes going off, with 12-18ft faces on the sets. I'm now sitting here at work nurseing my arm that took a fin to the tricep. 12 stitches, major bruising and no surf for a month. I guess I'll go ski or board or something.
Steady surf for the next week, hope you guys all get some!

Yowch! Heal up man. How'd that happen?

Do you boat it into the Ranch or do you have a friend who has a $75k parking pass?

Thanks, Black and blue but healing nicely.
Usually boat in to the Ranch, but his time we ran into a friend, in the snowboard buisness, who was out in the line-up. He was stoked to see us and said we could drive in w/ him the rest of the days. He has a 12th ownership on a piece of property he has never seen yet; this allows for beach access. Full on Country Club surfing!!!! Last time he heard of an access only selling (pretty rare now a days) it was $300K His words of advice as we drove to the Santa Yenez ER was, "Dont attempt re-entries in pounding shorebreak on your 7'8" gun." I think I'll take his advice.
