    NFL fans...WTF?

I will admit that I hate the NFL and football in general. But how can you fans stand for this shite? http://articles.news.aol.com/special...00010000000001

Blame it on the lawyers waiting in the wings to sue for injuries....

It's called "a few douchebags from Jersey ruin things for everyone." More or less the story of East Coast skiing.

I'm trying to make some sense of this statement. Was he trying to drop-kick the guy out of the stadium?

So who's fault is it, the attorneys, the douchebags from Jersey or the cops. I am getting conflicting answers here....

Because I don't go to Jet home games.

What a waste...they are only hurting themselves. They are giving up their alcohol sales to supposedly prevent alcohol-induced violence? Someone might want to tell them the majority of the people that could potentially be involved in this violence will enter the stadium drunk anyways...I assume they aren't banning tailgating while they're at it.

This one has potential for serious ugliness. There are many dynamics converging here and a beer ban only will make it worse. A cold winter night with everyone bundled makes it easy to sneak liquor in. And they will in droves, trust me. [understatement]Jets fans are rowdy to begin with.. [/understatement] - add to that the fact that their team is rather hapless. Bored and pissed people look for other things to entertain them besides the meaningless game. Foxboro 15 years ago was quite like this. A drunken mess. Add to that a 9pm night game on the day after xmas, when no one is working. The drinking will start early afternoon. Add to that the visiting team(whose recent success you are insanely jealous of) is from right next door and they will have lots of fans streaming down for the game. Drinking heavily. Clashing with the Jets fans. I would sell the beer, rather than have them drinking smuggled-in schnapps and rum. This will not be a family game..

Yeah the all the ban's gonna do is make people get drunker earlier, nobody can get jacked on $7.50 Coors Lites anyway, but at least when they sell them people aren't rushing to gulp every drop possible before they go in.

I believe this is due in large part to a death from last year. A fan left the game and and drove drunk, causing an accident that killed a child.
why make ten turns when you only need to make NONE!
