The only two states in the union that you cannot order a shot and a beer are Utah and Vermont.

In California they don't serve alcohol at all in full-nudity strip clubs, at least not while I lived there.Originally posted by Benny Profane

Your dog just ate an avocado!
Doesn't Vermont have a law on the books that you can't stand and drink?Originally posted by Benny Profane

Skiing, where my mind is even if my body isn't.
I order a shot and a beer in SLC all the time.
it has never been a problem @ clubs &
now is not @ resturants either
PM me next time you get in town.
I have good Bar tour references.
In fact, at the Tram Club, they used to have a deal going where a shot of Jager and a beer was cheaper than just a beer. This was last year and the year before.

edit: I was in Moab last May on my freinds 50th (yes, I'm a geezer) I wanted to buy him a shot of Cabo Wabo Rposado con cervaza, and was refused because of the "2 drink in front of you" thing. I base my argument on this.

out here in the sticks they don't sell alcohol at full nudie clubs but you can bring it in by the garbage can load if you want. walking into a strip club with a group of people and a garbage can full of beers is always good times![]()
Utah has some pretty fucked up alcohol laws. 3.2% beer only at retail shops (i.e. non-state run stores) is pathetic. That shit will make you sick before drunk. Only finding decent carry-out beer at the state stores means you pay out the ass (>$2/btl) for it. The "members only" clubs are B.S. I've been in many of them without. You just become a "guest" of someone. Things did changes a bit after the olympics went through. Utah has enough trouble finding the 20th century. We can't ask for too much progress.
Other states with totally wack laws on the books are Kentucky, which is more than 1/2 dry - Pathetic, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. In PA, the "beer distributors" will seel you a case for $20, and you have to hit the state run stores for the "spirits".
Those are the states that come to mind. I'll take the NV 24-hour bar scene or the $10 case of Miller any day, thanks.
You must have been some hell-raiser for them to do that.Originally posted by Viva

Attention Vermont shoppers! New Hampshire state stores buy direct and, well, have no taxes = $25 Herradura Silver. Well worth the drive to the border.Originally posted by trainnvain
