The Nazification of Kirkwood

The other day I was talking to guy at the WEED who told me how Cohee has security working with young undercover cops dressed as snowboarders cruising the parking lots looking for people smoking pot and busting them. Then I met another guy who said he was smoking a roach in the parking lot and when some snowboard dude asked the guy if he could have the roach the guy had just thrown on the ground, the guy said "sure" and was popped.

But the kicker is that the guy said that Kirkwood President Tim Cohee, who is rumored to have been busted more than once for COCAINE, has dictated that pot smokers are now told they will be charged with trespassing if they return after getting busted, even if they have a season pass. This asshole is not only a hypocrite, but a fucking little Hitler who needs to experience a cleansing action not unlike his own trademark dirty tricks to rid the ski world of him and his Nazi tactics.

While I'm always game for blaming Cokehead for world hunger and 9,000 snow levels, I'm not sure if he has the authority or resources to fight the war on drugs at Kirkweed. However, last year I was walking through the 'weed's parking lot with a very shady and dangerous looking man--Tyrone Shoelaces--and he got the shake-down from the county sheriff for no apparent reason.

Personally, I think this is all a backlash against people's habit of calling it "the Weed."

Some man came into school and showed you a film and told you smoking is the pathway to harder drugs, blah blah blah, didn't he. Not advocating one or the other, but, I don't think booze is the lesser of the two evils. Do some independent research, then post back.

Yeah, I think I remember the Supreme Court finding that wearing a hoodie and holding $1.50 in quarters as being grounds for a full body cavity search.

I call BULLSHIT on your story JONG. I've seen more weed get smoked than you could ever know, but I've NEVER seen someone throw a roach on the ground. They put that shit in a bowl, and I think you are full of SHIT!

heh yeah....walking through the parking lot with a handful of quarters for coffee is being cracked down upon as well. Watch your step....it's not only Weed they're cracking down on....it's caffeine too.

The try to keep an eye on personal ticket sales too. I think there's less laws to be broken on doing that. I don't particularily have a problem with people enforcing laws on their or public property, hypocracies aside.

Sorry if I don't think about writing my congressman regarding my rights to use an illegal drug on someone else's land. Law enforcement does not constitute Nazi-ism. Just take your hits before, during, or after your day at Kirkwood. You can hold out.

Since it's such a common occurance out there in "Cali" I'm suprised the Kirkwood parking lot isn't one big pot-field. Maybe that's why the Kirkwood dudes are cracking down on stoners....

I don't believe cohee has the authority to get the cops to use their resources to fight small time drug users in the Kirkweed parking lot. I just don't see it.

Most of the pot smoked at that mountain is on the lift, in the cave and in the trees. I have never seen someone just standing next to their car smoking. But then again, i am pretty oblivious.

Actually, I think I'll have to disagree there....

I believe that Cohee et al are probably the single largest tax revenue source for Alpine county. It'll pay the county to keep Corpwood happy. Also, Alpine county has such a small population that I suspect that they can increase their county revenue significantly through prosecuting just a few minor drug users (or letting them off of pleas).
