The “Flower” skis always a good call. As is the scotch drinking, regardless of the unseasonably warm weather. Or in tahoe, because of it.

    Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

being the eternal pessimist, I see tahoe getting 10" and the wood a couple of feet but getting skunked by the wind.

too bad the coverage isn't better lower down at the heave.

maybe sierra for a storm day????? lo angle tree skiing anyone?

I went to Xmas brunch attended by the head of NOAA (dad of one of the parents in attendance). I didn't ask for prognostication for fear of jinxing it. But it looks good....

The storm just rolled over Mt Rose something fierce - no precip at my crib in Reno yet but the winds are HOWLING - tough timing with this one since I have to go back to work Tuesday - here's hoping 88 is open tomorrow and the winds die down!!

    Next weekend should be tight!!

Yeah, but you're from the ice coast... you probably thought it was a powder day out there by comparison.

Storm is rolling in nicely now on Sunday evening. Kirkwoooood Tuesday!

Sierra is more wind-tolerant than many places...not wind-hold resistant, but better than most... and there are superior steep tree lines to be had if you know the mountain.

    Thank you Father Winter
