you guys should see my xmas eve.. crazy grandpa had twelve baby goats here on the mexican border just north of el paso and I was scraping afterbirth and feeding colestrum to all who are living in seventy degree weather before being forced to do all the cooking for twenty ungrateful people.. it's sure gonna be weird when i'm back in commission here on wednesday to think I was here just three days before.... but you shoulda seen the steaks. Everyone complaining is a whiny bitch that's all I gotta say= i missed the first december of my life this year.
BY MONDAY MORNING SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO TWO FEET ARE EXPECTED....
IN ADDITION TO THE HEAVY SNOW......ESPECIALLY OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES WIND GUSTS OF UP TO 90 MPH ARE POSSIBLE OVER MOUNTAIN RIDGES.
Please do not close the lifts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Xmas brunch attended by the head of NOAA (dad of one of the parents in attendance). I didn't ask for prognostication for fear of jinxing it. But it looks good....
not counting days 2016-17
Weather porn on Sac Ch 3 should be interesting for the next couple of days.
The storm just rolled over Mt Rose something fierce - no precip at my crib in Reno yet but the winds are HOWLING - tough timing with this one since I have to go back to work Tuesday - here's hoping 88 is open tomorrow and the winds die down!!
Next weekend should be tight!!
I just came down the hill from Incline. Raining in Incline!! BUT @ about 6800Ft the Snow starts. Yes, it is 26deg and snowing like hell (White out) @ Mt. Rose. Chain controls are on going up hwy80. We are officialy having a winter storm.
Sierra is more wind-tolerant than many places...not wind-hold resistant, but better than most... and there are superior steep tree lines to be had if you know the mountain.maybe sierra for a storm day????? lo angle tree skiing anyone?
Thank you Father Winter![]()
