Unfortunately, Mr. Dallas, you will get more comfortable saying things like that as the rain continues. Sometimes ski towns can get realllly small.....

Not as big as the icon but they are superb ...and she's blonde, very pretty, loooooves to ski, smart.

Not to many hot, smart women who love to ski, will cook a great meal, make love to you, and they say "let's watch a Quenten Tarantino film!" are out there.

That all sounds great, except for referring to sex as "making love" and movies as "films."

There may be small impressionable children in the audience.

What I was trying to say it that after hauling down the slopes, scarfing down some awesome grub that she whipped up and imbibing wine, then c--ming on her ___ and __, she'll say "Oh baby, PULP FICTION is on! I love that flick!"

    Corky,

    Thumbs up

Glad to hear I'm not missing out on anything

Yesterday I surfed some of the best waves I've ever had in California. 6-8' 200-300 yard rides with only 2 other guys at a Surfing Country Club known as The Ranch

Today I surfed more insane A-frames at Trestles with only 50-60 other guys, but that didn't stop me from bagging a wave every 5 minutes.

Oh, yeah, and it was warm and sunny!

Yesterday: Yesterday was kick ass. Lapped Headwall three times before the chair opened. I think I could feel the collective anger of the Headwall chair-line as we reversed traversed the nose and hogsback over and over. Granite was fun, snow was much deeper, small hucks like upper and lower diving boards were doable, everything else was still off limits. JT, Shane, Kyle O'neal and I had a backy session of the back flip jump. Kyle took best bail, with a 15 foot high belly flop. And 36 year old Shane dominated the sesh with still the stylest back-flip in the game. Nothing epic, definitely fun, and can't wait for more. Oh and freeskisquaw got a little introduction to a Squaw style heckle-fest.

Today: Holy fucking shit, it is fucking raining so fucking goddamn hard it's gonna fucking flood the goddamn Squaw fucking valley meadow. This sucks. High Camp data say 34 degrees and raining a .41 inches an hour! Fack!

FUCK ME!Picked up my gal at the airport, had Thai dinner, then headed to Squaw. Just west of Verdi at stateline I80 is closed to all traffic for the next few hours because a darn truck carrying cattle overturned blocking all lanes and they have to catch the bovine roaming the roads!

Headed back to my place instead of taking Mt Rose Hwy to Squaw at 11pm io a rainy night. Will get up at 5:30am to hit Squaw.

I just drove over Spooner. It was snowing from around 6500-6700' and up. If the wind dies down...knock on wood...pinch of salt...lucky rabbits foot...

hooooolllly shit, it's raining hard and long in Sac.

River levels aren't at flood stage yet and aren't predicted to, but there's a hell of a lot of water moving in the american river.

HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS...WINDS WILL

    NOAA data:
    • Ward Peak (Alpine Meadows summit, 8637') holding steady at 32 since yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, it also shows winds holding steady in the high-60s to high-80s, peaks to triple digits.
    • Alpine base (6910') holding steady in the mid-30s, with 6 inches of rain at a steady clip over the past 18 hours. Squaw base looks similar.
    • Squaw High Camp (8200') looks like it changed to snow somewhere around 2am, 3" accumulated through 6am.

My subjective observation: It's currently pissing and howling in Tahoe Donner.

At least for those of us who are thinking Alpine, it looks like today is the proverbial washout with hopes that the switch to snow makes tomorrow decent.
