    Atlanta area mags?

I have to go to Atlanta GA for work on Mon through Wed of next week. There are four Sports Authority stores in the general Atlanta area -- thinking of checking them out for the elusive $125 clearance Rossi XXX. Anyone in that area know if the Sports Authority carries skis? (I know, I could call them up, but this is much more fun. And I won't have to explain to an Atlanta store clerk what a snow ski is vs. a water ski, or the difference between a X, XX, XXX, etc.)

You have got to be kidding. Based on the stock in Maryland SA stores (I haven't been in one in a few years, but I assume little has changed), you can spend your time a heckuva lot better than running around doing this.

Oh yeah, Fat Matt's Rib Shack. Don't miss.

I am doubtful. I live a couple hours north of atlanta and there is one ski/hunting store in town and their selection of skis is more amusing than anything. Atlanta is a bigger city, but I can't imagine anyone having decent skis there. If asking if they carry skis, you will have to use the southern term, "snowskis", because if you just ask for skis they will tell you that the summer stuff is in storage for the winter.

El Chupacabra, also check out Peter Glenn ski shop off of Roswell Rd. in North Atlanta. There is a Sports Authority off of Peachtree Rd. which is about 3-4 miles from Peter Glenn.

Note for Atlanta area travels - everything is off of Peachtree.

So based on what you saw a few years ago, in a different store, in a different state, there's no point in looking.

Another shop to check at is Rocky Mountain Sports on Roswell Road. I do remember the Sports Authority carrying skis when I lived in ATL 11 years ago, although they were very low end. Peter Glenn and Rocky Mountain would have the higher end gear for Atlanta.

Do all these non-Sports Authority shops also have the $125 closeout price for the Bandit XXX? If not, why are you posting about them?

this man knows what he is talking about, The Pony is the spot. Ask any Atlanta local and they will tell you the The Pony is where its at for a good time. Unless they are trying to play a fast one on you and tell the the Clairmont Lounge is rocking. And if you do end up at the clairmont ask for Blondie!

Fat Matts on piedmont is incredible! Looks like a little hole in the wall joint but it is the fire!

The sports authority up in Greenville SC has a very limited selection of skis, so the ones down there might as well, but you never know.

I grew up in Atlanta and Homerjay and thinksnow have the right idea. The Gold club was the place to go before they got closed and the cheetah is alright if you got the $$$$$ but the Pony is the SHIT. Good luck finding those skis, I'm pretty sure there is a Sports Authority off Barrett Parkway.

I recommend the shot girls at the Pink Pony, it's $5 well spent.
