I stopped into the Any Mountain in Redwood City yesterday, looking for a new jacket for one of my kids. This is probably old news to some, but they got bought out by Specialty Sports Venture a few months ago, and they're running a grand reopening sale.
The sales guy I talked to had no idea when it would end, but the prices looked pretty sweet. I've been thinking about buying my wife a pair of K2 Phat Luvs, so that's my point of comparison. The cheapest I've seen the 2006 model at a reputable retailer is $550 -- that's the marked regular price, but they're on sale right now for $500. It looks like clothes are generally marked down 20% for the sale too.

Actually, I found one competent guy there last year when I was looking for a ski package for my daughter. He actually took the time to fit her properly, and didn't try to upsell us to skis that she didn't need. But that was clearly the exception that proves the rule. Originally Posted by Superstar Punani

What about the massive, and now defunct, store in SF? That thing was a warehouse for vintage ski sweaters and Wal-Mart quality camping gear.
