    mid layers with hoods?

does anyone know of any clothing company that makes a mid-layer with a detachable hood?
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

non with a detachable hood. Patagonia has some past & present with a permanently attached hood. Oh, and let me pimp the Patagonia Axuwool. Nice in the outdoors, wears well, more street smart than fleece or the other wool options!

    MEC - www.mec.ca - Mountain Equipment CO-OP
has hooded items, some are softshell.

North Face has a "steeptech" hooded fleece.

Arc'Teryx makes some awesome softshells with a hood that I would glady use as a middle layer. Sadly, none are detachable -- I've never seen such a critter.

I think there's a Patagonia softshell with a rollup hood, if that's close enough?

Beyond Fleece has alot of softshells and fleeces that you can get a zip off hood on. It is a little more expensive but I have found the extra cost very much worth it.

As long as we are on the permatatched hood subject, I love my salomon hoodie. In fact, I am wearing it now.
