BD STS tail kit repair...30 sec

i was pissed the other day when my skins had frozen over and i lost my tail attachment all on the same freezing ass cold tour. after attaching the sts kit on another set of skins i was sure that i had to buy the whole kit again, drill out the old rivits and start over. not so. the guys at bd thought this one thru.


first step...after threatening to cut the skins up, get some basic tools. tony's box and fork optional:




second step-- using the frame as a guide, cut out both sides of the tab that holds the tail in place.



third step-- fish the new tail thru the frame from front to back and pull it into place with some pliers or whatever you got. replace your tail clip hardware on the new tail and your done in 30-60 seconds.




now that wasn't so hard. pity i couldn't figure that one out myself.

so it wouldn't do what the other one in the set did. the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" motto doesn't exactly apply when you are out in b.f.e.

btw, that one had problems too.
