    WWMD: Remount BRO Model Tele

Anyone have experience/opinions with tele on BRO models? I've got stiffies mounted with Sally 914s but I don't see any alpine in my future. I obviously can't just let them sit unused but I'm hesitant to drill (deface) them again. I'm also no expert and therefore have misgivings on remounting with tele binders if they are too much ski for my wholly intermediate skill level.

i've got the stiff bros mounted tele--mounted a centimeter behind the alpine location. the bro has a round (but stiff) flex that makes it very suitable for tele turns.

wood core skis are pretty strong in terms of binding remounts, as long as the new holes aren't right next to the old ones.

    i'd say go for it.

who knows, they may take you out of the intermediate tele skier category.

The stiff bros make excellent tele skis.

Can't tell you exactly where mine are mounted, because I voodoo mounted them based on the boot center mark, cord center, and BOF/CRS. All I can say is that it seems to suit me and has the balance point of the ski with the binding on it right at the ball of my foot.

Don't be afraid to plug them with a dab of epoxy to seal them tight and drill again, Phaedrus.
All the feedback from tele 'ers seems to settle in between pin line and BOF at chord center, which is also the balance point on your skis.
Haven't heard much from you since you bailed Mammoth early.
    Doin OK?

All is well Splat, thanks. Lurking here often. Took up tele this yr. so I don't die of boredom on the flatlander hills in MN. Turns out it's a lot more fun than I would have thought. I'm hooked. But the BROs are obviously not comfortable sitting on the sidelines with alpine binders so I'll slap some G3s on and give them their due...

    Where you been hiding?

    Phaedrus-

FlyoverlandCaptive and i have been getting back in the swing of things at welch. You been out much? WHere at? You should come on down and play for a change. It would be good to have another tele'er to share the odd stares and questions with.

For here in MN, I break out the Hippy's for days of 3"+ but play on the Piste Pipes the majority of the time. Wed night was pretty nice this week.

What did you end up getting for your midwest ski?

Skiing exclusively on the T-Rocks and having a ball. Just back from CO but I need to get down to Welch again soon. Just sent you an email. Let me know when you guys are going down there and we can hook up...
