I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.

"that should be posted on the main forum", tracy

that is indeed awesome. it's really no different, however, than all the park monkeys at your local ski resort. these russian kids just don't have the money/access for skiing.

sooooooooo, splat, how'bout spancering some russian kids with some bro's?

I whole heartedly agree, completely badass. Although this kid's stuff is beyond "running", might be more appropriately called freestyle street gymnastics.

bingo, i think you hit the definition on the head. There is also no way that kid is that good without professional training. That shit he did in the bars in the beginning of the vid was mind-blowing.

I believe that stuff is called 'parcours'. It is pretty common in major urban centers like paris (apparently where it originated), NY, san fran etc. A bunch of parcoureurs will get together for a session which will usually end in an injury. A cool mix of climbing and gymnastics.
Recently overheard: "Hey Ralph, what were you drinking that time that you set your face on fire?"

Actually the name is Parkour, but Parcours is close enough...

The stuff I've seen in the past (eg Discover Channel) is amazing, but this goes way beyond that. The gymnastics in this vid take it to a new level.

I'm thinkin' this kid was an Olympic hopeful that realized drugs and stealing (and running from cops) were more fun.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

nike had a sick commercial based on parkour a while ago. anyone remember that? kid did a series of jumps down several landings/floors of winding stairs, the stairs were kind of like ripping the walls of a winding staircase in a hotel, but outside, with no ceiling to the whole stairway. kid just bounded down it like it was third period gym class. bad. azz.
scroll to "Buy DVD", very bottom of page http://bhandf.com/bhandf%202008/longform.htm I do not work for Bill, just dig his work.
