    Utard Ice Climbing Partners?

First let me apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but I think its ok.

Anyway, I am an experienced mountaineer and rock climber in the SLC area looking for some people to climb ice with. I'm kindof a novice leader on ice, and have lead WI3 and followed WI5. I'd be interested in hooking up with some people who are at least as experienced as I am for an occasional weekday morning lap on the Great White Icicle before work. PM me or post if interested.

    Thanks!
    Jamie

And while I'm here, might as well post some ice stokey stoke (from the Kenai in AK.)

I'll go run up the GWI with you some time. Or perhaps some stuff in Provo when it's good.

Hopefully, I'll be hitting GWI this Friday. but I am super jongish, so give me a few months (or maybe next season) and I'll be down to do some morning runs. how long does the Utah ice season normally last?

    March, depending.

Skip the GWI and go to Provo. GWI can be a crowded shit show, and a dangerous one because of falling ice. I'd suggest perhaps the first pitch of Stairway in Provo to learn, as there is room to spread out.

good call. we were only thinking GWI just because of driving distance. my buddy needs to work later in the day, so it's really his call since he's the tour guide and I don't work that day. I'll mention it, though, and hopefully check it out soon. thanks, TH.
