Stay in Leadville. It is only about a 20 minute drive.

When do you plan on staying in Copper JONG? Check their website, they have cheap specials there. www.coppercolorado.com

Also, don't go to Deadville, it blows there. There's a Holiday Inn and Best Western 10 miles down the road in Frisco. PeaCE

Don't go to Leadville... it's... well... it's Leadville and that's all you need to know!

If you go when it's dead you can find lodging for probably about $75-$125/night in Frisco (10 minutes from Copper) or Dillon (15 minutes from Copper). www.lakedillonlodge.com is the Best Western site.

There is a hotel in Breckenridge (20 minutes from Copper, of course you would be at Breckenridge too) you can get a 2 night stay at for $24.50/night if you don't arrive on a Fri and are willing to take a 90 minute timeshare dealie... they got other questions you gotta answer though to qualify for that offer.
