I've only just seen these pics and I'm even more jealous now I've seen what they were doing while I was slaving at work. 13 days and counting, then it's my turn.

Bad Roo, the Master of TR prose once again shows off his amazing array of writing skills. Very impressive indeed.

Thanks also for the suggestions, I should check out some of these destinations when I'm there (operating out of Alpe d'Huez).

    Things Roo does well:

    Drive cars.
    Drive golf balls.
    Break skis.
Instill confused looks on innocent bystanders.
    Wake up Canadians.
    Slut it up.
    Write trip reports.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and will check back in later when I'm back for Jay Peak),

    Pranging: a definition

    little google:

    Definitions
    prang (colloq)
    verb pranged, pranging

    1. To crash (a vehicle).
    2. To bomb something from the air. (aka Brownmonkey)

funny how both forms of the definition fit well with my image of Roo

Okay. Back from Jay Peak and finally had the time to let my dial-up connection show me all those pics. Even though I'd seen them before, they still tingled the most tingly corners of all my tingle-able regions. Props to the brown one and the bad one for that.

Ferry rides, marathon drives, mega-phones, mega-lamps, kinder surprises and duct tape. The bar has been set for any and all future road trips. Confused looks from toll booth attendants were the norm, whether bad_roo was offering them chips, candy or coke from our ample supply of junk food or whether he was holding up the portable play station in lieu of the ticket and proudly proclaiming "I just blew up a whore." Mulletizer got in on the fun by using the mega-phone to hail motorists as we flew by, unimpressed with their driving steeze. And brownmonkey, well it didn't take long for us to rename him browncloud. Dude should seriously invest in some carbon filtered underwear.

Mit joined the crew at the train station one day in and seemed generally baffled by the loud speaker announcng a bastardized version of his name. Roo and the mega-phone strike again. Twas great ripping the alps with Mit (if for no other reason than the fact that he was an ally in the tree seaking) and seriously sucked that he tweaked his knee early on. Hope the trip was still worthwhile and, as the pics show, some goods were definitely delivered before the tweakage.

Anyhow, the pics say the most so I'm not going to sully this thread with more words. As is obvious, it was a wicked good time. Muchos laughs and muchos good snow. Throw in some good friends and what more do you need?

Sick and ashamed and happy (and wonder if the duct tape is still holding that moulding up there...?),

Oh no, Roo and a megaphone. He apparently is not reformed. People, do what you can to help Roo not get banned from places.

Some are EOS20D, others are EOS D30 and a few are taken with Mit's trusty point and squirt. Brownmonkey's 20D lets you crop really effectively.

Here's the original shot, resized to fit here

and here's a crop to boost the impact of the image.

He's quite capable of getting banned without the aid of a megaphone. Believe me.
