    Steven's Stashes

I happened upon Steven's Pass last weekend for the first time ever and had a decent time gapin around on piste. The place was mainly full of kids goofing around in the park so I didnt run into anyone in the know. Can anyone enlighten me as to its possible not so obvious good spots. Not looking to steal any hidden stashes, just some basic knowledge of where I should venture next. Seventh Heaven had some adequate runs, and tree skiing on the backside was fair also. Any help? Grassy-ass.

Good memory and yes, they are. Thanks for the assistance. Odd that you took the time to respond but didn't take the time to read my post. Not looking for anything too hidden, just some general easy direction. It would be like me pointing out the benefits of Silver Basin at Xtal to someone who has only been once. Later, tbagher.

Exactly. It would be like telling someone about Silver Basin and sending one more person back there. Don't do it.

for once i'll be somewhat nice to you. though i don't know why. nancy and bobby chutes off seventh heaven provide quick laps and good snow. winney chutes off of skyline are ok at times, and fun for night skiing. get off tye mill take a left towards the traverse that goes to aquarius, but drop into a flat section on the frontside which will take you to c-slit and nasty gash which are two chutes that drop you into tye bowl (not for the faint of heart, it stays sideslipped and icy at times and i've seen people get fucked up in there). corona bowl on the back side, get off tye mill and go straight down keeping southern cross lift on your left. that'll keep you interested and waaaaaayyyyyy away from my stashes.

Get the picture? Goods at Stevens are so rare that the locals hide and cackle about them like a bum with a roach. All the best secret Stevens locals stashes are at Baker.

It aint a mystery that it (s. basin) exists (check out a trail map) so a person will probably go regardless of whether you help out with the route, it will just take them a little more time to plan it out. That is where courtesy and stoke come in. Nuanced, I know. You must be one of those anti-WPB folks.

Z-BO, thanks for the input, that is the general stuff that I was looking for. Just a small helping hand/intro into the mountain.

    I was gonna suggest
    Bobby and Nancy+
    Winnie Chutes
    Corona Bowl and
    Upper Diamond

    but not
    Big Chief Bowl
or anything on the lee side of lower Big Chief
or any of the trees there
    or Powerlines on the back
or Rock Garden, or Schimms...because these_are_my stashes!
However these are also all on the TRAIL MAP as well, so I am sure you checked them out already. You do have a trail map don't you? I like to keep a laminated one on my forearm like Michael Vick does (did?) with the offense.

Ask someone about the Cowboy to Grace Lakes run... that can be fun.
    Where are your stashes?

there are no stashes at baker. just spots that you battle to get to first.

as for stevens, this is definitely not a stash

My stashes? When at Xtal: Look to your left when you hit the base area. You will see the Rolling Knolls chair. Skin up the mountain under the chair. When you reach the unload area of the chair, turn 90 degrees to your left, then turn another 90 degrees to your left. If I recall correctly, you should see an open run. Ski the hell out of that run and then repeat. I fear that I may have given away too much already.

Maybe so. Admittedly, I am having a hard time parsing out when you guys are actually trying to be helpful and when I am getting fucked with. I am up for a good discussion and some info swapping, but when in doubt, sarcasm is like a warm blanket.

I guess we will stick to the old maxim that stashes are best left to each person unless that person is willing to show them in person and on the hill. I have a sneaking suspicion that you guys won't be inviting me out for skiing and coco, so we can leave it at that. But, if you see a guy out in one of your spots screaming "Leerrroy Jenkkkkinss" as he drops in, you can bet its me and if you feel like it, you can follow me down the hill and beat the hell out of me.

But seriously, CL, it's not that "we aren't going to invite you out for some skiing and cocoa" - there's no real membership here (unless you want to join Girlski's he-um), but you came off kinda cocky and what not when you first started posting- slamming people like Zbo who are normally pretty chill on this Board. We all give each other some crap every now and then, but mellow out a bit and get to know our freaky internet personalities before tossing trash. Some people spar better than others.

I'll be at Alpental & Alpe BC most the winter so if you make it up there, i'm always down for some turns with peeps from our weirdo internet ski community. And as ashamed as I am to admit it, might even find me up there a few nights.

They weren't fucking with you. Maybe those are their 'B' list stashes, but really how secret is a stash that you can describe how to access by writing a couple sentences?

and those are not the A-List stashes... If you mix them the right way you can get fresh all day long... inbounds, on a weekend day though.
