Solly demo binder question

I've got a pair of solly equippe demo binders on my powder pluses that I just bought. Is it worth remounting the toe so it is affixed to the actual ski and not sliding around on the demo plate, or should I scrap the whole mess and get new, non-demo binders for the pp's?

If you want a flat binding and can find some heel tracks from non rentals, put the heelpieces in the non rental tracks and mount the front flat to the skis without the "slidy thing."

use them with the demo first to find the center point that you like, sometimes I find that the marked center and what I like are 2+cm off.

As an opinion: I think it's worth having a bit of slop on the demo track just to have the flexibility to move your boot center forward and back according to conditions. It can be like having a whole different ski sometimes. Just $.02 there.

Yeti, as much as I hear what you're saying, the amount of play in the toepiece freaks me out, it just doesn't seem stable enough to withstand a season's worth of skiing. Mntlion, for sure, I like that advice. Because these are my pow stix I plan to keep it about -2 cm. from the center. Thanks.
