    Maggot Collective Igneous Quiver Thread

Marshal's Name That Igneous thread got me wondering.......how many pairs of Iggies are in the collective maggot quiver?

What models you got? Length / Model / Flex / Graffix

    I gots:

    200 cm / FFL / 260 flex / Air Raid
    195 cm / FC / 240 flex / Corvid

    I freaking love those things.

    200 ffl's 240 or 260 flex, mismatched graphics.

    Love them

Edit, after seeing said pics, one ski is a killer green top sheet, no idea on the other.

200 FFL 230 or something, Killer Green. Blown apart and repaired more times than I remember, but lovely.
200FaGS Professor-flex. Acid (I think). Entering a bump contest on them was stupid. Decently stable at speed

Nice thread I'll have to update this post with pics next week.

195 FGS - 250 RA, Mountain/starry night grafx (forget the actual name) - these are bent and retired

190 FFL - 240 RA, Black swirly IGNEOUS grafx
    190 FFL - 240 RA, maple topsheet

These skis just won't die. I've been skiing the black ones for 6 seasons now...and they are now 'rock skis' but the edges are just fine. There are plenty of shots in them but I just fill 'em with some p-tex and they're good to go...if a bit slow on the flats. Still some of the best planks I've owned. Won't ever sell them either, they're just too personal/collector's items.

190cm Pinners, 250 (tele flx)...I know they're 79 underfood and asymetrical. Fun ski, for the day. They're now retired, the graphic is the plain grey fade to red center stripe (no idea the name)

195 FaGS, 235 ra vertibrates graphic love these skis but they don't get a lot of airtime anymore falling in a strange spot in my quiver.

190 MFC 240 RA Crystal Graphic with "factory" backround- Now Hemas

185 FGS 250 RA Air Raid Graphic - Sold as well. Hard to do as these were my babies, but $$$ issues vs. the amount of time I actually skied the FGS justifed it. Sad Day though.

190 FFF 265 RA - From Natty. These skis are ridiculous. Best pow ski ever. Floats better than spats and skis fine on hardpack. Only reason I sold the FGS was because I was getting these. An Igneous must always be present in my quiver...

    pics to follow

Particle, it sounds like your two skis with graphics are Peaks, and Orion, respectively.

here's a link to their old graphics page, from the 2000-2001 season I think.

Great thread on my all time favorite skis (except the W105, the spatula, and the bro--when I finally get my "owner's pair!" )

    I have owned and sold:

200 FaGS 270 RA, Rasta, too much ski for me, especially in narrow chutes (just about killed me in cham's poubelle for example), but had two good seasons on 'em, this was at the beginning, when you could get iggies for $450-500!
190 FFL Killer green, RA 260, gave me much joy for approx 150 days, thought they were indestructible til I blew a big chunk of edge hitting a rock at 40 mph at alta, repaired (as well as possible by DPH), then sent to cham with splat to give to Flingle.
190 FFL, wood, RA 260, 2 good seasons, loved em, sold to a mag, I will have a FFL again someday, a classic shape!
190 FFF, wood, RA 265, too stiff for me for an everyday ride at this width, but 260 was perfect in FFL, sold to iggyskier with his 10 years younger legs/back, enjoy bro!

    On Order :

190 FFF wood, finally wised up and decided not to write checks my body can't cash (especially in a ski this wide), hence flex will be 240 RA! January arrival per Adam!!

nat, you going for anything fancy like the swallowtail on those new FFFs?

I think I'd like to pick up a swallowtailed set eventually, just for general coolness.

The FFF comes with the swallowtail, but I opted out on Adam's suggestion. He says the swallow doesn't do too much for the ski except make them feel a little shorter, especially in pow, which I don't want. It does look cool though. The FFF is an ideal shape IMO because of the tapered tail, like the FFL. Even on a burly ski like the FFF you can wash out the tail spat-style no prob. But they still hold like a dream on harder snow and in no fall zones.

seconded. Gabe has seen them in action. They replaced spats and IMO float better in pow, are better at high speed, and are surprisingly manuverable. hardpack performace is obviously a huge difference as well.

I have yet to decide which ski results in more annoying questions and comments...
