Question Beer of the Month Club (NSR)

Anyone ever participate in one of these clubs? A long time ago a friend of mine was a member of one of these clubs but he moved to Utah and that was the end of that and now he can't remember the name of the club.

I'm looking at buying this for a Christmas present - any input/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Here's one site I found:

    KQ-
I bought some friends a 6 month membership as a wedding gift. They loved it. Still talk about it and it's been four years. It's nice b/c there's a decent amount of East and Midwest beers that they never would have been able to try. I think they still order some of their favorite 6 packs here and there.

I'm pretty sure it was the same company.

    wtf?
My extracurricular activities include playing with my own 17 dogs that I have at home. I also have a cat, but she acts like a dog, so I still serve her bacon.

    real or bs?

Signed my wife up for the Gourmet Chocolate of the month club.
What's showed up over has been pretty interesting. Last month we got some pretty strange combos in a sampler - Dark chocolate & Earl Grey Tea, Cumin, Anise, & Cardomom as well as more typical stuff like Hazelnut, Orange, and Ginger (MaryAnn? - That was the smooooth plain milk).

    Very good quality and quantity.

I like thier flexibility on delivery schedules. Monthly, every other month, or every three. I set her up for an every other month choco-fix .

They also do microbrew beer, wine, cheese, & flowers. (I get there eventually.)

If you go with these guys, PM me before ordering. Theres a referal program that gets you half off the first month.

Good runs when you get them.

Wow Tom - that club looks better than the one I found. I can't believe they have a cheese of the month club....oh heaven!

I like the fact that you can combine the different clubs...get beer one month...cheese the next...chocolate after that.....yummy!

I agree, the first one that comes up when searching isn't as much fun as these folks. Enjoy!

My girlfriend at the time gave me a six month membership to this one http://www.beermonthclub.com/index.htm. It looks to be the same as the chocolate of the month club.
It's a great gift, and the beer is great. At the time I was getting it they had never repeated a beer. And the newsletter gives recipes that include one of the beers from each month.
My girlfriend also added cool mugs from Red Envelop. That girlfriend became my wife.

KQ, there may be a problem
    http://www.beermonthclub.com/shipping.asp
States We Cannot Ship To - There are several states that we cannot ship either beer or wine to including: AK, HI, KY, UT or other areas where prohibited by law. Many states require the direct shipment of alcohol to be bulk transported into the state where a wholesaler can take possession of it and then it is distributed by a local shipper to a retail customer which is why many organizations are not set up to ship alcohol into certain states.
There's a lot to be said for nowhere.
