Looks like everyone wants to sign up for the free private heli...when will that trip be taking place Gordy By the way, I'm sure this will be the trip of a lifetime for whoever can swing it with the funds, pretty good deal considering the price of the regular heli trip.

Sorry Bro. Didn't mean to steal your thunder.

    How about this...

Have an "illness" in the family, get an advance from your boss to deal with it, then quit.

I promise karma won't get you... I think.

Don't worry, you didn't steal my thunder...more like a whimper than anything.

Also, I did something similar 2 years ago. I had pretty good success with that the first time around...don't want to push my luck.

    Thumbs up

    Mother of God.

I absofuckinglutelyguarantee there are no other websites in the world where this would happen.

    Costs:

    500 airfare
    10000 related alaska expenses
    1000 new boots + skis

I'd need a handful of weeks back home to get in the grooooove, so say 4 weeks of work.

I'd almost certainly lose my girlfriend.

So: Six months of salary, 2 years vacation time, and a 2+ year relationship. Huh.

    Gordy, check your PMs.

as Freshies said, this is THE way to go up in AK!!
did this a few years back with H20 and we did it with 2 groups splitting a heli for 1 day (since we all wanted to ski the same "saw it in the movies and Powder" classic lines).
back then (before fuel cost increases) it only cost an additional hundy per day and if (i mean when) i make it back to ak that is the ONLY way i will fly.

for top 40 Gordy to offer this up for an extended amount of time for only a G more is as Grizzle would say "re-donk-u-lous" and should be Wa-snatched up by anyone with a desire to ski AK and a credit card.

oh ya, Virgil kicks ass as a guide - he'll show ya the goods for sure!!!

    That's some funny shit.

I thought you were steppin up to the plate to get a serving of your namesake run we put in for you last year near Seward, Ak., "The Great Cornholio".

Actually we named it after the Seward prison we would fly over en route to da goods and the fact that it was nearly 4000 vt. ft. of corny bliss.

Don't forget its next door neighbor, Cornhole. Those were some amazing runs. And yes, you'd think he'd have the common courtesy to go ski them this year. Tsk, tsk. Seeing as though we're the naming rights holders to those runs, perhaps we should change them...

Alright, we have a heli rental. It is a done deal.

Thanks go out to those who stepped forth with a major commitment to get this deal done and participate in the festivities.

We now have 3 maggots signed up to fly their asses off in the whirling death machine.

Dr. LPH has diagnosed himself with a case of chronic helitosis and will be back for round two, Miniracer's wife bartered herself into a sweet Carribean girls trip(or should I say Mini bartered himself into a sweet AK trip?), and Release may find some release in his pants when he drops into his first 50 degree Alaskan face.

The only question remaining is how much vertical we will slay with 10 hours of flight time. 100,000? 125,000? 150,000? 200,000?

    AND,

How silly will we scare ourselves?

Yup, str8line is right, I am sick. Some would say it is a physical addiction, others a purely psychological one. In either case, after hearing about this camp, and the private heli, it didn't take much convincing; I needed another hit of Chugach White Gold.

Owens, it will be good to see you again, and maybe if we get a down day this year, The Sarge will let us drink with you. Then again, no down days would be better.

Gordy, i can't friggin wait and this is all I will be thinking about for the next several months. I am starting to feel the same nervous energy that I had last year.

release and miniracer, look forward to meeting you and making tens of thousands of vertical feet of turns with you.

    FUCK.

I am so sick right now.

I know this will be an epic trip; I soooo wanted to get on this!

Note to self: Must learn to blow off civic responsibilities for over-the-top heliskiing opportunities.

Hey Magoo! I'm working on a little something that might allow you to meet your civic responsibilities AND be a hedonistic freak. Stay tuned.
