    Crystal Sunday

I'm taking the bus in which should get to the mountain around 9:00. Anyone else going to be there?

It depends. The weather is all wonky right now The freezing level sky-rocketed. Pretty much everybodys got snow cone snow right now. If it crashes back down without any new, it's going to get really, really firm.

Also, my quads are just super fatigued. (Maybe I shouldn't have run the 6 miles in the hills yesterday. Who woulda thunk it?)

So, it looking like a game time call for me.

I will probably be up there. I'm carpooling with my neighbor, who is an early-riser, so I'll probabably be there at 8:30. Blue shell, black pants, Leedom helmet & Volkl G41s.

Well God dammit. The last day I skied it was like this. It can't happen again, can it? Hopefully tomorrow will be o.k. I've already paid so I'll be there regardless.

I'm not driving so I could always start drinking at the Snorting Elk around noon if conditions suck!

OK, since I'm somewhat at the mercy of when the bus gets there, I'll say I'll be at the base of REX at 10:00. I'll be wearing a blue North Face jacket, black pants and a grey Giro helmet. A friend was going to go but bailed so I'll be solo and definitely on the lookout for maggots.

Sweet. I'm sitting at home because the bus never came. I waited two hours because it would be free when the bus finally came, but at 8:45 I had enough and went home (the bus was supposed to leave at 7:00). I better get something free for standing out there for two hours

Hope conditions are good for everyone who actually made it to the mountain today.

What's with this bus thingy? We have that in PDX, too, but only teens use it.

Hows abouts if come January-time, you let me sleep on your floor and I drive us to Crystal the next day? I'm itching to go back there, but I don't care much for getting up at 3:30-4:00 AM because of the the 3 hour drive. Fair?

It's not all teenagers. I'd say at least 5% of the people who ride the bus are over 20 Seriously, it's convenient when you're going alone. That is, assuming it shows up.

My floor could be open in January. I'm sure my wife will have no problems with some "internet dude" coming over! Not sure how many weekends in Jan. I'll be around, but we've got a pretty good maggot contingent in the area. I haven't skied with any of them yet, but I'm trying.

You might be the most pathetic poster ever!

I bet you either go to school or work mon-fri. You did'nt drive and waited for a bus that never came. You paid, and never made it to the mountain...muhahaha! I've got an idea, next time drive to the mountain, and you'll do something better with your time than whining cuz some dude placed the weights with "the flange in"....Muhahaha!!! (It's no wonder people hate me here...hehe)

Yes, everyone in those two categories is undeniably pathetic

Guess that explains why I didn't see you at REX. Sucks about the bus. Conditions were actually pretty decent on the north faces of the upper mountain. Had a few really nice runs off the King, although I managed to uncover a rock lurking under the pow, resulting in a huge core-shot.
    D'oh!!
