My productivity at work has hit an all time low.

My productivity at work has hit an all time low. I stopped answering my phone, screening all calls not wanting to talk to my suppliers. More and more time is spent either on the board or hunting for deals on fat skis. We moved around with in our office a week ago and I can finally stare out the window. For the last two years I have only had beige concrete walls to stare at. Each morning I spend 45 minutes to an hour pretending to work while I watch the sun rise over the potato fields across the road. It’s not that I don’t have work to do, I have more than enough outstanding work that needs to be completed. I just can’t seem to think about work for more than 5 minutes without my mind drifting. But there is good reason for my mind to drift.

I have only 8 working days left until I drop a bomb at work. On the 9th working day, January 3rd, I will inform my manager that I am giving my two weeks notice. On Friday January 13th I will work my last day as a OEM buyer in the automotive industry. I will cut the cord to a very good job, with a great company. This will all be done to facilitate a move to the mountains. In moving west I will leave behind a wonderful family, and a solid group of core friends. From small town Ontario I will set out to expand my horizons and experience new adventures in Vancouver.

My productivity at work has truly reached an all time low.

Before you do that, if you have time, you should buy a shitload of my friends wheels and put them on every car your company makes. If they think it's a bit extravagant, who cares? You're leaving. So it won't matter.

So, whadda ya say? Carbon fiber rims on every car made by ??? car company? You would be doing something good for a small, family owned manufacturers rep co. And that will make you feel oh so good.

I bet the fast and furious types would love carbon rims from the factory on the new Civic Si. Sadly I work with fuel tank suppliers and glass suppliers.

Side note I got scammed out of beating up a pre-production Civic Si before they were released this summer. py supplier audits.

I've hit rock bottom this week as well. It's not that I don't want to go to work, it's just that once I get here, I want to leave, or stare out the window.

My productivity level is about the same. It's finally started to snow here and I've been skiing for the past 5 days. I'll come into work in the morning, check my emails and then hop on TGR until I can leave to hit the slopes. I've had work sitting on my desk for 4 days that I just keep putting off. It'll only take me a half hour or so to get it done, but it's just so hard to do when I keep staring at the snow outside of my window.

I am actually taking a break to read the board from doing that exact thing....I think I am getting high from the fancy pants gold marker that we have to use.
I went out there in search of experience. To taste, and to touch, and to feel as much as a man can, before he repents.
